Preparing for power outages this winter

In recent weeks, reports have surfaced about plans to implement temporary energy loadshedding in the UK in the unlikely event that there is insufficient gas supplies at the same time as reduced electricity imports from Europe. The blackouts, if they are to happen, would likely occur during three-hour blocks on weekdays.
Due to the obvious implications this would have for many organizations, the BCI has asked members across the UK and in other European countries to look at energy security within their own organizations and whether this is an event that they are suitably prepared for.
