New BCI Board Directors Announced
We are delighted to announce the results of our latest election for the BCI Board Directors, which took place in February 2023 as a result of two resignations. The two people elected were:
- Kelly Blakeley MBCI
- Milena Maneva AMBCI
As Board Directors, Kelly and Milena will be responsible for setting BCI strategy and policy and providing oversight of business plans, priorities, and budgets. Moreover, they will be accountable for ensuring the BCI operates in the interests of its Members and the wider professional community. They will take the lead role in specific strategic projects and governance activities that support the institute’s objectives, leveraging their established skills and knowledge for the benefit of the BCI. Kelly and Milena will also act in an ambassadorial capacity representing the interests of the BCI and its members at external events.
Further to this announcement we will be releasing two exclusive interviews with Kelly and Milena for BCI Members to get to know and engage with them.
Upon the news of being elected, Kelly Blakeley commented, “I'm delighted to have been elected as a Global Board Director for the BCI. The global community is facing big challenges and the landscape of resilience has a key part to play; I'm excited about that.”
While Milena Maneva commented, "I am delighted and honoured to accept my election to the BCI Board of Directors. It is with great pride that I take on this important role, and I fully appreciate the immense responsibility and privilege that comes with it. As an ambassador for the BCI and our Members, I am deeply committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and passion. I am eager to contribute my skills and experience to the board and to work tirelessly to advance the organization's mission. My unwavering dedication to advancing the goals of the BCI and contributing to the betterment of the industry is a fundamental part of my ethos. I pledge to listen carefully to the needs and concerns of our members and stakeholders, ensuring their voices are heard and their feedback incorporated into our decision-making. I am thrilled to embark on this new journey with the BCI Board of Directors, and I am confident that, by working together, we can achieve great things for the organization and the industry as a whole."
