Director Wasim Malik FBCI steps down from BCI Board

The BCI is sorry to announce that Wasim Malik FBCI will be stepping down from the Board with immediate effect. Explaining his reasons Wasim states that he wishes to focus on his personal and business commitments and that these will impact his ability to contribute to the Board’s activities as much as he would like.
“This decision was not an easy one, as serving on the Board has been an incredible privilege, and I deeply cherish the experience, relationships, and impact we have made together. Being part of the BCI Board has been an honour, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the institute’s mission alongside such dedicated professionals. I will always hold my time on the Board in the highest regard and take pride in the work we have done to advance the field of business continuity and resilience. My commitment to the BCI community remains steadfast and I will continue to support and contribute in any way I can, as I believe in the institute’s vision and its vital role in shaping the profession. I wish BCI continued success and growth in the years ahead.”
BCI Chair Glen Redstall has thanked Wasim for his work with the board throughout his term.
“Wasim has played a full and active part in the life of the Institute over many years prior to joining the board and it was fitting that his long commitment as a volunteer ultimately was recognised by his election to the board by our members. I think I can speak for the rest of the board in stating that we found working with Wasim in the boardroom and in FARCom (Finance Audit and Risk Committee) an enjoyable experience: a man who makes his words count. Wasim has been truly focussed on growing the BCI’s global membership and ensuring that the Institute had effective governance arrangements in place. We wish Wasim well in his future endeavours and know we can count on him to remain a passionate advocate for the BCI”
