Board Member April election result: James Lodge FBCI

We are pleased to announce that James Lodge FBCI has been elected as a Global Board Director following the April 2025 board election.
James has generously dedicated his time to the BCI as the Operational Resilience Special Interest Group leader since 2023, addressing the development of practical resources that advance industry understanding of this critical discipline. James also regularly contributes to Thought Leadership projects, mentors BCI members, and won the Europe Regional and the Global Award for Continuity and Resilience Professional (Private Sector) in 2024.
His extensive 25-year career in resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, and organizational change, plus expertise in managing international crises across diverse cultures, will greatly benefit the BCI’s global membership and enhance our Board's skillset.
James said:
“I'm truly honoured to join the BCI Board of Directors. The institute has been a guiding force in our profession, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to contribute to its future direction. I look forward to collaborating with fellow board members and the BCI team to help enhance the BCI's global impact and deliver tangible value to our members worldwide. I'm excited to begin this new chapter of service to an organisation that has been so central to our resilience community.”
Chair of the Board Glen Redstall FBCI added his congratulations. He said:
“Congratulations to James on his election to the BCI Board of Directors. James brings a great mix of skills both as a BC/Resilience professional and as a manager with governance, finance and strategic expertise. I'm looking forward to working with James and tapping into his skillset to drive the BCI forward, developing and delivering on our strategic objectives.”
James replaces Wasim Malik FBCI who recently stepped down from the BCI Board to focus on his personal and business commitments. We would like to thank Wasim for his valuable contributions during his tenure.
