BCI Global Awards 2024 winner spotlight: The Roads and Transport Authority

At BCI World Hybrid 2024’s annual conference, The Roads and Transport Authority, United Arab Emirates, was chosen by a panel of experienced judges as the overall winner. This award is given to organizations with high organizational resilience achieved through the effective collaboration of complementary disciplines.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is the responsible governmental organization of designing, constructing, and operating the roads and public transportation in the Emirate of Dubai, UAE. A spokesperson for the organization, commented on the win:

The BCI judging panel praised the innovative ways in which they strengthened resilience and set global benchmarks, saying:
“Last year, they strengthened resilience through collaborations, including the creation of the Joint Flood Management Room with Dubai Police and other flood response agencies. This initiative improved flood response times by 36%. They also brought together teams like the Higher Committee to Enhance Control Centres, promoting collaboration and open communication.
Their efforts earned recognition, including the Best Joint Initiative and The Elite Award at the Dubai Government Excellence Program 2024, setting global benchmarks in transport and resilience.”

Nominations for the BCI 2025 Regional Awards are now open. These prestigious awards recognise the outstanding contributions of regional business continuity and resilience professionals and organizations.
All Regional Award winners are automatically entered into the annual Global Awards which will be announced at BCI World Hybrid 2025 this November.
