We are pleased to introduce James Lodge FBCI, winner of the 2024 BCI Continuity & Resilience Professional (Private Sector) Global Award.

At BCI World Hybrid 2024’s annual conference James Lodge FBCI was chosen by a panel of experienced judges as the overall winner of the Global Award for Continuity and Resilience Professional in the Private Sector. This award is presented to an organization or individual who has used creative and original approaches within their employing organization to improve overall resilience while working in the private sector.

For the past two years he has led the BCI Operational Resilience Special Interest Group (SIG).

James decided to enter the BCI Awards to shine a light on the often overlooked yet critically important business continuity and resilience profession and highlight the lack of recognition the field typically receives. James said:

“Receiving the 2024 BCI Global Continuity & Resilience Professional Private Sector Award is both humbling and inspiring. This recognition from the BCI validates not just my contributions, but the collective efforts of everyone who has supported and collaborated with me throughout my journey. I see this award as an opportunity to showcase the innovative approaches and collaborative solutions we've implemented. I hope it inspires others in our field to push boundaries and elevate industry standards.”

The BCI judging panel praised the innovative ways in which James boosted his organization’s resilience and his readiness to help others saying:

“We celebrate a leader whose dedication to ethics and operational resilience has made a significant impact. He has shown commitment during crises, from implementing essential travel restrictions during unrest in France and Brussels to enhancing security during gang violence in Stockholm, always prioritising employee safety.

As leader of the BCI’s Operational Resilience Special Interest Group, James has supported the development of new training curricula, and mentoring of many BC professionals.”
