BCI 日本支部 2020 年度第 4 回定例会 開催報告
BCI 日本支部は、2020 年 11 月 27 日に 2020 年度第 4 回目の定例会を Webinar にて開催しました。
（新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大防止の観点から、今年度の定例会は全て webinar のみで開催する予定です。）
BCI Japan Chapter held the fourth regular meeting of FY 2020 at 27 Nov. on webinar.
(All of the regular meetings in this FY will be held on webinar to avoid spreading infection of COVID-19.)

今回はまず日本支部事務局の田代から、2日前にオンラインで開催された BCI 総会での決議結果の概要が説明されました。なお議案の内容など詳細については BCI の Web サイトを参照していただくよう案内されました。
続いて次の 2 つの内容について説明されたあと、質疑応答の時間が設けられました。
1) BCI World Conference の報告
2) 新型コロナウイルス（COVID-19）パンデミックに関する情報共有
BCI World Conference については、まず事務局の田代が参加したセッションの中から、日本における類似のイベントには無さそうな 4 つのセッションについて、要点がそれぞれ紹介されました。また関連企業からの出展や参加者同士のコミュニケーションの状況なども含めて、BCI にとって初めてのバーチャルイベントがどのような状況だったかが報告されました。
新型コロナウイルスに関しては、BCI の Web サイトに設けられている COVID-19 特設ページに掲載されている情報の中から、日本の企業にとっても役立つと思われる情報や関連ツールなどが紹介されました。
最後に事務局から今後の予定を案内して閉会しました。

At the beginning of the meeting, Kuniyuki Tashiro FBCI explained brief summary of the AGM which was held at two days before, and he guided to refer BCI website for detail.
Then, the following 2 topics were explained, and the time slot for Q&A and discussion was set.
1) Report of the BCI World Conference and Exhibition
2) Information sharing about COVID-19 pandemic
Kuniyuki picked 4 sessions up from the conference programme since he thought that those were very unique, he has never seen the sessions like them in similar conference in Japan. Also he reported how the exhibition and networking were going at the first-ever virtual big event for the BCI.
Regarding to COVID-19, he introduced some useful links and tools which are available at "COVID-19 Resources and News" section on the BCI website. Despite they are in English only, they might be useful for Japanese organisations to know the situation in foreign countries and to obtain new aspects or hints from various tools and resources developed by foreign companies.
The organizer informed next schedule to the attendees before closing.
