2024: A Year of collaboration and growth for the BCI
As we bid farewell to 2024 and embrace the New Year, we reflect on the significant work accomplished over the past 12 months, for our members and the wider business continuity and resilience community. This year, the BCI Board of Directors remains strong, with representation from over six regions, and we have proved our commitment to the industry through collaborative and diverse projects.
In 2024 we have reaffirmed our commitment to advancing the industry. Here, we highlight some of the most notable achievements.
BCI’s commitment to industry conferences and collaborations
In 2024, the BCI actively supported and participated in key industry conferences and events through its vibrant volunteer community, the BCI Global Board, and Central Office staff, reinforcing our commitment to advancing global resilience. We attended and contributed to events such as ADAPT Africa, DRJ (Disaster Recovery Journal), the International Fire Operations Conference (IFOC), The Emergency Services Show, GRCCS conference in Kuala Lumpur, and we increased our commitment to building membership in the Gulf with conferences in Saudi Arabia; IFOC, GPRC Summit, and The Risk, Emergency and Business Continuity Management Conference and Resilience Expo 2024 in Riyadh. These events provided invaluable platforms for sharing insights, exchanging ideas, engaging with practitioners, and building connections across diverse sectors. Through panel discussions, speaking engagements, and collaborative initiatives, the BCI community showcased its expertise, contributed to critical conversations, and further strengthened connections within the resilience community. These partnerships reflect our dedication to driving innovation and promoting best practices across the industry.
