An interactive session where we lift the lid on the business impact analysis process and discuss the following topics:

  • Do you follow a template approach to your BIA? What should you include in a BIA and who should be involved? We’ll discuss the differing approaches and offer insights into what might suit your organisation the best.
  • Do you conduct a digital BIA? We look at categorising systems/services depending on their business criticality.
  • What happens once you’ve completed your BIAs? How do you maximise the benefit of collating information from your BIA programme? Do you transpose the information into your plans, test assumptions through exercising and testing or work with your leadership team to identify future points of focus or risks?
  • Have you considered, or do you already use, BIA software tools to support you? How have you found it and do you have any tips for others?

We’ll discuss the pros and cons of using BIA software. Should we be approaching the BIA programme in a different way to reflect the challenges of today? Our aim is to challenge the status quo and offer insight into alternative approaches, tools and techniques. Be prepared to share what works well and what you find most frustrating with your own BIA process.
