This meeting will provide insights, recommendations and a platform to share knowledge on both important upcoming topics. Our first presenter, Marie-Hélène Primeau (MBCI, CPA, 2023 BCI Americas Consultant of the Year and executive vice president of Premier Continuum) will focus on the new Good Practice Guidelines. Marie will highlight the key changes and how to put them into action quickly with meaningful effect. Our second presentation hosted by Edd Bennett (TELUS) and Erik Hanson (BC Ferries) will examine the upcoming British Columbia Emergency and Disaster Management Act and will focus on how local critical infrastructure providers are leveraging and evolving their existing resiliency programs to meet this new benchmark of preparedness and agency coordination provided by this exciting new legislation.

Finally, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a moderated group discussion and reflect on how they foresee the new GPG and regulation impacting their own organization. Following the event, in-person delegates will have the opportunity to visit BC Ferries operations center as well as attend a social event with fellow practitioners.
