Regional approaches to business continuity training and exercising

This presentation will cover an introduction to exercising, historical exercises and the value of exercising. It is based upon Russ's involvement in many exercises whilst working in the North East of England and will demonstrate how effective exercises can be delivered.

    Russ Parramore

    Chapter Leader, BCI North East England Chapter

    Russ has 46 years of work experience , the majority in the public sector. 

    He is a Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute (FBCI) and the Chair of the BCI North East Region Chapter. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (F.ISRM.s) 
    Russ received the BCI European Continuity and Resilience Professional (Public Sector) award in 2016, 2017 and 2019. He received the Global award in this category in November 2017 and was entered into the BCI Hall of Fame in November 2019. He was winner of the European Volunteer award 2024. 

    In September 2021, Russ was awarded the CIR Magazine Business Continuity Award for Advisor of the Year. 
    He has his own Consultancy business through which he offers Continuity, Resilience advice and planning as well as supplying an international mentoring and coaching service. 
    Russ has spoken at many conferences and events, including the BCI World Conference on a number of occasions.
