Margaret (mentor) and Nicolene (mentee) have participated in a long-distance mentoring relationship for the past 2 years after being paired through the BCI Mentoring. We will share the success we have had between the USA and South Africa.

Finding a good mentor-mentee match is not always quite as simple. If you are fortunate enough to find a good match with a business continuity professional, hold on to it, even if you are challenged by geographical distance.

Engaging in mentoring from a distance can lead to phenomenal opportunities. Modern technology advances at breathtaking speed, but the core principles of mentoring remain the same – no matter which format it takes. To get the most benefit, each of us have been willing to invest time, energy, and commitment.

Come join us to learn how we get to catch up and see our relationship developing, the dividends are noticeable. It is an accomplishment to complete a mentoring task(s), but it is a bigger feat to do this from over 7,000 miles away.
