What are the benefits of volunteering?
By volunteering with us, you will have the unique opportunity to influence decision-making, expand your professional network, gain new experiences and strengthen your own professional profile.
How do I find out about volunteering opportunities?
More information about current volunteering opportunities can be found here
How do I become a volunteer?
It depends on the volunteer opportunity. For some, such as BCI Mentoring or BCI Chapter groups you just need to sign-up. For BCI Judges or Member Participation Groups you would need to apply for the position. Please take a look at our different volunteering opportunities here and visit the individual page for more information.
How much time will I need to give?
The time commitment can vary by the volunteer role. Some opportunities will be dependent on your own situation and how much time you are willing to give. Others will have a specific time period and commitment. Please take a look at our different volunteering opportunities here and visit the individual page for more information.
Can I volunteer around my job?
Yes, most of our volunteers have full-time jobs. We try our best to be transparent with any specific time commitments, providing as much notice as possible.
Your employer might recognise volunteering as personal development and a CPD opportunity and be happy for you to manage your work time to fit it in.
Who can volunteer? Do I need to be a BCI Member?
This will depend on the volunteering opportunity but we hope there is something for everyone. Please take a look at the ‘what's right for me?’ page which gives suggestions of opportunities for people at different stages of their Membership.
Do I need to be certified to volunteer?
Some opportunities require participants to be a BCI Certified Member. Please take a look the ‘whats right for me?’ page which gives suggestions of opportunities for people at different stages of their Membership.
What training will I get?
