Course Overview:

This comprehensive our one-day, or two-week (part-time, 3.5 hrs over two days) course is designed to introduce the fundamental components of operational resilience. It equips participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to enhance resilience within their own organizations. The course emphasises adaptable strategies and best practices, illustrated through real-life examples to foster engaging discussions.

Who is the course for?

This course is relevant to professionals across all sectors who are focused on improving resilience. While the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is frequently referenced, this does not limit the course’s applicability to the financial sector. The FCA’s pioneering work, alongside the Bank of England and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), has set a strong foundation for best practices that can be adapted across various industries. Their final rules and policies, introduced in March 2021, provide a robust framework for operational resilience applicable to all sectors.

  • Develop an understanding of the scope and importance of operational resilience.
  • Explain and demonstrate the application of the pillars that underpin resilience within organizations.

  • Review the requirements for effective response and recovery plans.
  • Identify the key roles of governance and resilience culture in enabling effective resilience plans and processes.
