Business Continuity Manager

Location:
Peterborough based – some UK travel
Salary: Up to £50,000 plus car allowance, bonus and benefits

Diligenta, a UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) regulated subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), was established in 2005 to specialise in the provision of business process outsourcing (BPO) services for the UK Life & Pensions industry. Its head office is in Peterborough UK where it currently employs c1,000 people, a further 200 employees are based in Basingstoke.

Diligenta entered the UK Life & Pensions marketplace in 2006 by securing the Pearl Group as its first client, making it the second largest firm in the UK to service this sector. Offering a full BPO, Diligenta provides its clients with call centre, back office administration, IT, HR, finance and accounting services.

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for business continuity management for Diligenta and customers. You will be responsible for ensuring appropriate solutions are in place so that critical services are maintained in the event of a crisis. Solutions will meet the requirements of the FSA and customers alike.

You must have experience of working within the financial services sector and you will be a Member of BCI. In addition, you will have:
• A thorough understanding, both theoretical and practical, of business continuity management methods, standards and relevant regulations;
• A thorough understanding of threats, risks, impacts and associated treatments;
• Knowledge of outsourcing operations and the financial services industry in general;
• Experience of co-ordinating multiple projects (with both business and technology components) within agreed budget constraints;
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and industry best practice (e.g. BS 25999).
