Send Word Now announced as Platinum Sponsor for the BCM World Conference and Exhibition 2011

Send Word Now has been announced by the organizers of the BCM Conference and Exhibitionthe Business Continuity Institute (BCI) as the Platinum Sponsor for this year’s annual event. The Conference and Exhibition will take place on the 9th and 10th  November 2011 at the Olympia Conference Centre, London and tops the calendar of BCM events; providing an exciting forum for the discussion, review and cross-pollination of current thought leadership in business continuity management. Delegates will represent a global audience and, consistent with the multi-disciplinary nature of the industry will be drawn from diverse professionals in areas including disaster recovery and recovery planning, emergency response, risk management, crisis management, continuity planning, enterprise planning, operational management, information technology and telecommunications, communication and corporate affairs. The leading minds across all these disciplines are expected to be in attendance.

Eighteen (18) sessions will be conducted over the two days of the conference, six (6) of which will be focussed on the core principles of BCM, known in the industry as the BCM Lifecycle, with the remainder addressing topical issues in BCM thought leadership. Those topics will include ‘Engaging and Sustaining the Interest of the Board’, ‘Horizon Scanning’ and ‘Dealing with Organisational Change’. The various sessions will be led by an array of dynamic speakers including Margaret Millett of eBay, Steve Mellish of J Sainsbury plc, the third largest chain of supermarkets in the United Kingdom, Professor Dominic Elliott from the University of Liverpool and Krzysztof Pulkiewicz, founder of the first Polish Business Continuity Portal in Poland, BCPGuide.com.

The BCI’s organizer of the conference and Head of Events, Lucy Burns, pointed out that, “…based on the current interest and response to this year’s conference, we are expecting a record attendance of delegates and exhibiting organizations.
