Membership of the Business Continuity Institute brings many significant benefits:

Recognition and Status
Fellow, Member Specialist and Associate members are recognised internationally as professional business continuity practitioners. Their professional qualification, gained through a rigorous scored assessment application process, emphasises to employers and purchasers of services their ability to undertake business continuity assignments with professional competence and integrity.

Increasingly employers ask for BCI professional membership when employing new business continuity staff and throughout the world major companies, when issuing ‘Tender' documents for business continuity work, insist on BCI membership.

Networking and Knowledge
BCI members have access to the Members Only pages of this website enabling them to contact fellow professionals and view the Institute’s published work.

Members of the Institute also benefit from discounts of a range of products and services including training courses, conferences and seminars, books and Professional Indemnity Insurance.

All members receive Continuity, the BCI quarterly journal, which keeps them in touch with the latest developments in the business continuity profession and includes cutting edge articles and case studies.

The opportunity to attend local BCI Forums, held in many countries throughout the world, is a highly valued membership benefit.

Career Progression
A recently introduced Mentoring scheme encourages members new to the profession to seek help in their career development from more established BCI members.

The BCI website features an Industry Vacancy Exchange where BCI member can look for and advertise jobs free of charge. BCI members working as consultants also have the opportunity to register their services on the BCI Consultancy Register which is sent out to prospective clients on request.
