BCI announces Revised Academic Syllabus

In response to the growing demand from universities and business schools for guidance on the content of modules and course on Business Continuity Management, the BCI has revised its Academic Syllabus to reflect current guidance and standards. The syllabus intended to be applicable in all
world regions with the course content reflecting the specific local issues and experience.

The syllabus suggests the content and scope of three levels of varying
duration around which a course can be built. It is envisaged that the
BCI will permit its endorsement of courses that conform to this syllabus
to be advertised though the procedure has yet to be finalised.

The BCI would be grateful if educational establishments who are
interested in developing BCM courses or modules would register this with
the BCI and indicate whether additional support from the BCI would be useful.
