Overview
Founded in 1994, The Business Continuity Institute’s mission is to promote the art and science of Business Continuity Management worldwide.

The BCI promotes the highest standards of professional competence and commercial ethics in the provision, maintenance and services for Business Continuity Management (BCM). It provides an internationally recognised Certification scheme for BCM managers and practitioners and all BCI professional members have undergone a rigorous admissions process to ensure that they highly competent in their areas of expertise.

Members, working in 45+ countries around the world, are drawn from all business sectors including Finance, Government, Health, Retail Technology, Consultancy, Communications, the Forces and Emergency Services and Manufacturing.

BCI membership grades
Membership of the BCI is open to business continuity practitioners at all levels of experience. All members of the BCI are required to operate to the Institute’s Code of Practice and Ethics.

Application process
Application into Affiliate or Student Grade is by completing a general application form. Applicants for a professional grade (FBCI, MBCI, SBCI, ABCI), or those wishing to upgrade their membership, need to also complete a professional application form which will be scored assessed and a grade awarded based on the results of the assessment.

Fees
Fees are payable on application and annually thereafter.
