A letter from Ernest Hocking:

Dear Colleague,

We are calling on you to register your support for the 2008 Australia and New Zealand Business Continuity Awareness Week (BCAW) from 28th April to 2nd May 2008.

The BCI, Continuity Forum, BCMIE and RMIA have joined forces to proudly endorse and promoted this year's BCAW. The theme of the week is "Managing resilience and embedding business continuity into your corporate culture". The following link has been established as a central point of reference for BCAW http://www.thebci.org.au/BCAW.htm.

Promoting the art and science of business continuity management is beneficial to all of our efforts, and works towards the further development of what is now being recognised as a mainstream profession with business benefits.

We are inviting all those involved in business continuity management, disaster recovery, emergency management and/or risk management to show their support for the promotion of business continuity management activities during BCAW 2008. Simply to register your support, free of charge, by completing the form on the following link.

All those that register their support for BCAW will receive a free printed BCAW 2008 pack and daily electronic information snippets throughout the week.

The London Regional Resilience Forum, made up from all London’s key responding agencies, oversees strategic emergency planning in London and has commissioned and approved a series of emergency plans. The Forum has a website which contains information on how to prepare for an emergency, how to deal with an emergency and how to recover. This excellent resource can be reached at www.londonprepared.gov.uk
